2017 'Millennium' style, #230
Cedar soundboard, flamed maple back and sides
old Spanish cedar neck, Imbuia trim
Sloane tuners, Hiscox Liteflite II case
650 mm scale length
SOLD
Concerned about the new CITES regulations regarding all rosewood species? No problems here! Maple and Imbuia (the hardwood flooring industry calls this "Brazilian walnut) replace the usual rosewood parts of the guitar to form a beautiful combination of colors. Maple has been the traditional wood for the backs of violins, violas and cellos for centuries and makes an excellent choice for guitars too, especially when paired with cedar. The highly figured maple helps to damp some of the extremely high overtones that can make a guitar noisy and too bright. On this guitar, the basses are rich and deep with strong fundamentals and the trebles sound as close to that incredibly creamy spruce sound as I've ever heard on a cedar guitar. This guitar is powerful, lyrical, sweet, easy to play, and a dream to look at.
